Inside-out Shirt Day
It was the end of the day and a guy in the collections department gave me a weird look. He asked me if my shirt was on inside out. I looked for the buttons on the front of the shirt and they weren’t there.
I was wearing my golf shirt inside out.
“Wow…all day long.” I smiled at Tim, lifted the shirt over my head (I still had an undershirt on) and turned it back around. “Thanks.” I chuckled.
“Yeah. No problem,” Tim said.
It was a silly mistake and that’s it. I wasn’t mad at myself. I’ll definitely check my shirts from now on, like I checked the one I’m wearing now. I wasn’t embarrassed. I’m not perfect and I’m not striving to be perfect. I’m striving to enjoy situations just like that one.
“Inside Out Shirt Days” will happen; we just have to learn from them and move on.

Doh! I hate it when that happens. I have to watch my ties sometimes; they’ll end up backwards if I’m not careful because I don’t own a clip. )

If you make a practice of having your shirt on inside out in the afternoons, everyone will snicker about your funch hours. So be careful. LOL

: )
it’s supposed to be good luck if you leave it inside out all day.

Such supportive comments! I never knew that it’s good luck to leave your shirt inside out.
Maybe next time I’m having a rough morning, I’ll try turning my shirt inside out to shake off the bad luck. Who knows…it could work.

I think that intentionally wearing it inside out might negate the good luck. If you wear it inside out without knowing it, that means you’re so happy that you don’t have time to worry about silly little things like shirt orientation!

Once I made it to my car with my slippers on (shoes are always the last thing I put on before leaving the house). I did go back up to my apartment to put on my shoes, but I also thought that it wouldn’t have been so bad to spend the day with my slippers on

Karl,
I like this post. I was just telling Marelisa (on my blog) that one time I went to work with two different color shoes (black and brown). Mid afternoon I realized my mistake. I stayed at my desk for the rest of the day, and hopefully too many people didn’t notice.
That’s what happens when we buy the same shoe in different colors.

The next time this happens, just glance down, recover from your surprise as quickly as possible, pat the front of your shirt and say, “Yep, it’s inside-out-shirt-day? Didn’t anyone tell you?”
