Hey Janelle, sometimes we just have to appreciate where we are. It could be the luck of our circumstance, but most likely it was taking small steps to create the life that we always wanted.

I’m in my current job because I was willing to take a risk. I’m not sure I would go so far as to say that I experience “luck” at work…but at the same time, I feel incredibly lucky to be where I am at this point in life

Hi Karl,

I’ve always moved up the ladder on jobs, but I never considered it luck. It was hard work, risk taking, networking and determination. If it was “being in the right place at the right time”, I didn’t realize it.

Hmmm, I really don’t think about luck too much — though I consider myself splendidly blessed. My life is satisfactory in just about all areas, though there is room for growth in every way, for sure.

Am I lucky to have what I have? Sure. I was lucky to be born under my parents, having found my wife, to be given my two children. I am very grateful.

But maybe because I’m lucky, I don’t think about it much. Maybe I take it for granted. But this is one thing that I’m not sure if not taking it for granted really amounts to much. It’s one thing to forget humility and gratitude, but….

OK, I am rambling, so I stop now. Thanks for provoking my thoughts.
