You said my favorite word ... "compartmentalize."

I'm a fan of focus and factoring for improving results. There's a time and place for integrated and mashing up, but there's a lot to be said for compartmentalizing and boxing things to first get deeper insight. It's one of the most effective ways I know to turn insight into action.

Karl, Hope you are feeling much better by now. Here is another technique that works very well. Just breather deeply and feel the feeling. Interestingly pain just feels like a vibration once we remove the thought that it hurts. Give it a shot.

Hi Barbara, I'm already feeling better. This experience is just making me a better blogger. We do need to give ourself permission to feel the way we do. This will allow us to process these feelings.

Hi Stephen, good luck and let me know how this technique works for you. I'm always curious about how other people apply work happiness to their lives.

Hi Karl,

Ouch! I hope your back is feeling better real soon.

I like what you say about allowing ourselves to feel "whatever" for a specified period of time. Just giving ourselves permission to feel those emotions often helps us to deal with the situation and find resolution.
