Hi Positively Present, if you use my Amazon link I get something like 90 cents. ;)

Hi Lance, it's worth your time.

Hi J.D., persistence baby. That's what all the great ones had.

Hi Nathan, I'll put it on my reading list.

Hi Marelisa, I think that's why a lot of us became bloggers. We are trying to build new careers.

Hi Amy, you sound like you are already creating your renegade career. Good for you. This book will definitely give you some ideas and resources to make it a success.

Thanks for this post - I'll be picking up the book, as I could use the support. A few months ago I left a career as a business appraiser, and two weeks ago we launched a website for people that travel with their pets. My husband is also leaving his career and we are selling our house to buy an RV. Our plan is to use our website to travel with our own dogs, and write a blog about our adventures. We'll also be able to offer pet travel advice and continue to add content to the site. Even to me it seems a little crazy sometimes, but we are passionate about traveling and can't stand to be separated from our dogs - so this seems like a perfect fit. Hopefully the book can help get me through the "WHAT AM I DOING??" moments.

Hi Karl: There's a growing dissatisfaction with the "rat raced" as evidenced by the popularity of books such as "The 4-Hour Workweek", the one you highlight here, Jonathan Mead's book over at "The Illuminated Mind" and so on. We should all be career renegades!

This looks like a good read. Currently reading "Ignore Everybody," which is also a great read (cant' remember the author's name). I've become a big fan of using the Kindle app on my iPhone...I'll check to see if this one is available.

Well put - separate the fakers from the real deals. There's a lot of free advice these days.

I think the secret of doing what you love is finding the intersection with profit and knowing what you need to make to fund your life style. The other secret is that when you do what you love you have the passion and energy for staying power. This helps you improve a little at a time that add up to periodic breakthroughs. It's how you change your game. In a saturated world, it's this formula that helps you stand out. You keep getting up to bat and raising your bar.

Hey Karl,
Great review of this and what it's all about. I've heard of it (and visited Jonathon's sites on occasion) - but nothing more. Now...I think it's time to check this one out - thanks for the pointer to it!
