(Can’t see the video? Then try watching it at Work Happy Now - Dealing with Dread)

Dealing with dread is one of the hardest parts of working with a difficult project. Watch how I cope and use the dread to my advantage.

Need a little help with your work happiness? Download the free Happy at Work Project with a Happy at Work calendar to complement the content. Try it out! It will bring a ton of smiles to your days. I’ll warn you now; if you don’t like it when you laugh too hard and your cheeks hurt then I would advise you not to download this PDF.

  1. Karl,
Great to find your site! Of course, I find laughing a great way to “get the juices flowing”. You are so right…that movement really helps break that feeling of dread.
    Have a hahahaha day!

  2. Hi Katie, laughter is a great way to stimulate creativity. I try to take a YouTube break whenever I’m feeling down. There is always some crazy wonderful video that cracks me up.

I think you hit it with chunking it down and taking action. Those are a recipe for success.

  4. Hi J.D., chunking down a great way of putting it.

  5. Aw, hey, thanks for the mention! That was very cool of you. And I love that you challenged yourself to turn fear into an advantage. Up with that!

  6. Great video…some days I have no problems working through a mountain of work, but most days I find ways to avoid doing the work until it piles up. Just have to buckle down and do it.

  7. Hi Karl, sometimes I dread reading 100 blog posts I think I need to read to keep up with what is going on around the blogosphere. :-)

  8. Hi James, you deserve the mention after putting out all that great content.

Hi Nathan, buckling down does help. Just remember to take breaks and do fun work too.

Hi Stephen, me too. That’s a tough part about being a blogger.
