Hi Chris, Trying to get everything just right, never turns out the way we hoped.

No events or as they say, no news is sometimes good news. So definitely relax and just enjoy “being”. Sometimes we try so hard to fill our time with all these things we think we should be feeling or doing, but often we find that it really is not necessary…just be.

As for me, well this was a different type of week for me as I had to travel. So…

Hard – Leaving my husband to go on a trip. Yeah, I don’t want to sound too soft but it was the first time we had to be apart as he could not come with me on my trip and that was a little hard.

Fun – The trip. I flew out on Friday to go to Long Beach for some “business” which I extended to fit in some pleasure, and it has been great so far.

Beautiful – The weather in Long Beach – oh man did I ever miss the sunny weather and heat, and to think back home winter has only just begun…well officially not even.

Hard – My husband was sick all week…and now I fear I may be catching it…

Fun – Last night I went out with a girl friend I hadn’t seen in a while, we laughed a lot!

Beautiful – Clarity is beautiful, especially when helped along by a supportive group of people.

Fun: Met a friend I have’nt seen for a while for coffee. Fun to reconnect. Projecting fun for tonight. We have friends from MI that recently moved to AZ. We’ve been here 2 years and sometimes it hits hard about our lack of support system here. So yeah!

Beautiful: My granddaughter 15 year old Mackenzie recieved a scholar/athlete award at her Swim Banquet last night. This is a beautiful thing. In fact it will be contiued on my blog in a post. Karl I always get inspired by ideas when I come on Fridays. This is awesome. To be continued…

Hi Lance, Charades! Man, I haven’t played that in a while. We have some friends coming over tonight. I’m going to suggest it.

Hi Suzen, Replenishing is a huge part of my needs. My two favorite practices is Yoga and going for walks in nature. I find these two to be my two favorite because one takes me into the deeper discovery of my body, while the other one takes me into the deeper discovery of the world around me.

The hard for me is always focus! The fun is always lack of focus! The beautiful is always when I really open my heart to the present moment.

That spider web story is the BEST! I’m so glad you let it be after awhile and saw how despite everything, nature gives us such beauty and wonder and fortunately for us, replenishes itself. We need to replenish too, don’t ya think?

Hard: Preparing for a presentation earlier this week, where the subject matter was very much not easy to grasp. And then trying to present that to a big group of 7th and 8th graders.

Fun: Charades! To break up the above presentation – I had small groups do charades. Fun to watch and work with the kids on how to act out some of the words we used.

Beautiful: A moment, early in the week – receiving an unexpected card and note. And it reminded me, once again, of how powerful a short note can be to someone else.
