I learned that if people drop off the list, they aren't my ideal client. Better to have a quality list of people who really want what you have to offer.

That said:

Hard: Transitioning back from a few days away and having a busy week to come home to.

Fun: Helping out at my niece's 6th birthday party yesterday.

Beautiful. Even though it's super cold where I am the crispness of the air and blue of the sky is gorgeous.

Hi Karl,

Your teleseminar sounds like it's going to be very informative and a lot of fun. (I guess I'll find out on the 23rd!) I would imagine that trying to find the right balance between promoting a seminar/product/service without feeling like you're pressuring people or begging people. Just a thought, but do you think maybe people who are not "employees" somewhere might conclude that the workshop is not aimed at them? My thoughts are that even people who are between jobs (for whatever reason)or possibly self employed could still benefit from what you intend to talk about.

Shorts and t-shirt weather in January? The mind boggles! ;-) It's been very mild here (A little too mild for the Vancouver Olympic Committee's liking--the snow is melting off the very mountains where many of the events are to be held in about 2 weeks!) but definitely not warm enough for shorts or t-shirts. I was just glad for a dry, sunny day when I moved on Monday. Here's my hard, fun and beautiful summary for the week:

Hard: Dealing with the last details of my move while also coping with a horrendous cold that left my brain feeling like a piece of boiled wool. Also now that I can see how much of stuff actually came with me that I still have to sort through, it's a bit overwhelming. Yikes!

Fun: Despite the fact that I had a miserable cold, both dance performances (the solo and the group routine) went really well. I loved watching other dancers' choreographies, too--the creativity is just amazing.

Beautiful: Getting an email from a friend of mine whom I've known for 33 years (since grade 8) letting me know that I'm still one of her dearest friends.

Well, I'm going to avoid the boxes for a few hours and go hand out baked potatoes at SPUD patrol. Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi Karl -- I can definitely relate when you talked about being disappointed on those days when people don't sign up for your seminar -- I've gotten into the same rut before about my Amazon stats. :) It's useful for me to remember that I may never get the chance to experience this part of the process again, with all its curiosity and uncertainty.

Hi Karl, you sound like you are keeping yourself fairly busy. That's good to hear. I have been on a similar road myself - just began writing an ebook. Otherwise, mostly focusing on continuing to write quality content for my blog, networking with others, exploring Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit.

On my free time, watching movies with the family and stuffing my face with delicious food. :)

Hi Tess, Technology is hard for most of us, me included. It's all about baby steps. You'll get there. You have so many fun and beautiful things going on I don't know what to comment on. You are one lucky person. :)

Hi Evita, Phone issues are always a pain in the butt. Playing board games as a family is a wonderful way to hang out. Hope you won. Congrats on 16 years.

Hi Evita, Deadlines are so difficult. I also like to work and finish on my own terms. Shame most business interactions don't work that way. :) Hot Yoga is great stuff. Good way to keep warm.

Hi Nathan, Being honest is hard. We want so much for them to be ok with the message. It's nice to hear when people we care about are proud of us.
