Thank You

I truly feel blessed to be me.

I know many people curse the Gods because they have cancer. Click here to read my story if you want to get updated. I some how don’t feel that way. In less than two weeks I’ve learned so many valuable lessons that I would have taken me 30 years to learn. I definitely would still be rushing to get to point B faster instead of enjoying the moment that I am in.

I also learned that love matters more than anything else. It doesn’t matter how much money a person has because love is the most important part of my life. I knew this before, but it never really sunk in until my diagnosis.

My fellow blogging friends made this beautiful video for me:

Stacey, thank you for putting this together and thank you Lance, Evita, Lori, DyanaKatie, Chrissy, Angela, Tim, Megan, and Sue for  joining in. You have a place in my heart forever.

When a person has so many amazing friends, family, and positive thoughts in his corner there is healing that one can’t describe. This illness has healed my heart in many ways.

I really do feel lucky.

Thank you for being in my life. Even the people that quietly read this blog. Know that I love you. Your happiness matters.

If you aren’t using your superpowers every single day then you are missing out. We only have a limited amount of time on earth, so don’t let anyone hold you back.

If I can ever help you, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Karl, your strength, perseverance and energy are felt far beyond your blog. You inspire simply by being alive, and you are so vibrantly alive, my friend! Healing is yours — your body simply reflects a manifestation of past thinking. Your thoughts NOW create your future, and you are all about love, accomplishment, belief in miracles & yes, super-human powers.

As was written on a piece of paper in this awesome video, “Kick its ass!” And then some. (smile)

    Love you, Karl!

    Karl,
What I see in you…is a deep, deep love for life. And I sense that even more now. And that is a beautiful thing!

I love your attitude towards this, and how openly you’ve shared that here. What a gift for everyone who reads your words.

More than all of that, though – Karl, you are a true friend. And that makes this post even more meaningful.

This cancer thing doesn’t know what it’s up against with you. Show it who’s boss, kick it’s ass, boot it out of this galaxy…

    Love to you, always…
    Lance

Thank YOU for being so awesome, Karl! The way you’re handling this is absolutely amazing and so inspiring. And yes – kick its ass!

I am a single mom and live in a rented room with my baby. I have a part time job and though things get tough at times life is still pretty good. Then I trip over the wheel of the stroller and I break my hand saturday morning and I got very depressed. But God is good, I am checking my email and I read what you have written and I am encouraged and feeling good again. I don’t know you, but I love you and I thank you for being you. May God bless you and keep you.

    Carolina.

    Hi Karl,

It was my pleasure to contribute to Stacey’s video–I thought that was such a great idea!–and it’s my honour to have been befriended by you and had the opportunity to get to know you. Thank you for everything you do for all your readers and friends.

You’ve more than graciously accepted the gift (how important love is in your life, slowing down to enjoy and be in the moment, and even being able to keep your sense of humour in the midst of all of this) and thanked the cancer and now you can firmly escort it out the door–or in other words, “kick its ass.”

Lots of love, laughs and healing energy to you!
    Sue

    • Hi Sue, You’ve been a big part of my success. I appreciate everything that we’ve worked on together.

I hope to only help more and more people. This is just a moment in time that I have to learn from. Each day is a blessing and I can’t ever forget that.

    Hey Obe One Cajone!
That’s an awesome nickname for an awesome fellow (by that I mean you, or your ball, I guess)!
It’s been amazing to read your story, and we so appreciate you keeping us posted on everything over the phone. We are always here for you!
    Love

  9. Great article Karl and thank you for sharing. You are an inspiration. Life is short and we can’t let anything get in our way of living it. Every moment does count and is there to enjoy for those few seconds. Nice group of friends you have there and great video. I can tell that you are important to this world, so thats for being tough.
To your happiness and returning health. Bless you,
    Debbie

There is a certain irony in the fact that some of the things that happen appear on the face of things, to be awful, turn out to be some of the biggest blessings we receive.

Many years ago I also suffered a serious illness and it changed my life profoundly for the better. I think many people credit their “knocks” with changing their life path and improving their life quality immeasurably.

Of course, no one would wish suffering on themselves or others, but there is something “screwed up” about human nature (or maybe its just me) – we learn best (if we choose to) when confronted by challenges.

You must be on cloud nine. It’s great to see your community come together and support you and lifting you up.

I really like the authenticity of the video and how it all comes together.
