Your Happiness Systems

Your happiness will only grow if you surround yourself with people who also have similar core values. Values that help you grow personally and professionally. The equation looks like this: Passion + Focus + Strengths = Career Happiness When you are using your superpowers every day you are unleashing your full potential. Finding ways to add positive habits and surround yourself with people who encourage you to grow Your creativity knows no limits. Without creativity work ceases to be fun. I learned to put fun and happiness first and everything else seems to fall in line.

My Superpowers are:

  • Storytelling.
  • Questions that pierce the heart of any problem.
  • Bird’s eye perspective that allows me to dive deep, solve an issue and come back up.

I’m always surprised by entrepreneurs who hate their businesses. They had the opportunity to create the career of their dreams and they forgot to factor in their happiness. They were too busy trying to make money without taking into account how to create systems that allow them to maximize their superpowers. Instead they are stuck doing work that stifles their creativity.

It all begins with communication. The person that you should be listening to and talking to the most is yourself. You need to be honest with yourself about what you want and how you will get it. No one is going to hand over more money or happiness. It’s up to you to make sure that it happens.

About Karl Staib

I was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2010, laid off from my job in 2011, and both difficult situations were also blessings in disguise. It was and still feels unreal. I could have thrown in the white towel, but these experiences only helped me hone in on living my passions. I stopped doing work that didn’t fit with my passions, focus and strengths and worked on things I truly cared about. Of course I was scared and still get scared of failure, but it’s natural. I use it as a motivation tool.

I’m a seasoned speaker, author of the book Work Happy Now (Amazon link) and writer who helps people uncover their superpowers in their careers. This allows people to be happier, more productive and do work that they care about. I’m really a big dork with some cool superpowers. I love my family, my dog (when she isn’t digging in my backyard), Yoga, business books, and journaling.

Before we get any further. I have a confession.

My confession to you is that I hated every job I’ve ever had. I gave into my arch nemesis (negative inner voice). My internal negative chatter made me perpetually unhappy. It’s why I wanted to learn the concepts of how to be happier at work and life. I wanted to solve what 84% of people are struggling with today – their career.

I know that the people who have work worth doing live with a purpose. It’s this purpose that helps them live their passions.

For over 7 years I have uncovered secrets to doing work we love and improving leaders ability to help their employees improve their focus, live their passions, and leverage their strengths at work. Utilizing our superpowers helps us sleep better, enjoy our families, and live our greatness.

We don’t have a lot of time on this earth. Why waste it doing work that doesn’t utilize your unique talents as well as the people around you?
